Stress and Time Management

Hi All,

I had a bit of a thought, as today has been particularly busy and I experienced the feeling that everyone has at one point, I decided to start up a thread on it. Stress.

What do you find to be the most effective method of managing stress? Perhaps you have found a way to avoid it or even handball it to someone else who handles it better? What ever your actions, I'd like to hear about it!

Another thought is what do you think the correlation between time management and stress is?
Personally, I find that if I organise my time and my workspace I can deal with stress better. Clutter frustrates me to no end and I windup yelling at people/things (mostly things, coz they just shut up and take it like they should!). Also I feel that with good time management you can give yourself enough space to complete everything assigned to yourself without over crowding the old brain.

Anywho, let me know what you guys/girls think!

Well y'see, I don't really get stressed too often, since I just deal with things as they come, if you don't set yourself a goal, you won't have to stress about not having enough time to finish it, or atleast that's how I see it anyway.

Lol, that's a good point... but not very practical in a work place... especially considering most jobs will have productivity hanging on them :P

But that's very similar to a sentence i live by
"No expectations, No disappointments" lol it makes sense to me!

When I'm stressed I end up running in circles and never getting anything done. If I can I'll take a nap. I'll wake up refreshed and cleared.
I know some people can channel it into something productive like cleaning or working out. I'm not one of those people.

I nary get stressed. The only time I really get stressed is when I have too much schoolwork to do, but right now I'm on summer break so it's all good. HOWEVER, when I'm stressed from schoolwork, I tend to even the work I have to do into a schedule. If there are projects, I work out when I have to them, and for regular assignments, I go through my list and see what I can postpone to Study Hall the next day, or, if one fo the assignments is to just Study, I don't do it.

I have a presentation to do tomorrow at work that I don't want to do. It turns out that my natural reaction to this is to post a lot of meaningless posts on internet forums.

if you have ever seen the brittish series called "the IT crowd" then you'll know what I mean when I say this:

"In the time I've been speaking, over 80 million people have died from stress."
