Stratigy games in RMXP?

I am really really wanting to make a tactical stratigy game with the tyke template. You know, a game simliar Warcraft, age of empires and what I know of Maikai Kingdom.
I have the database and all the ideas ready to go but I just need to know if there is any scripts that would help with this and how much is posible with events. And how i would go about setting it up with events...

Sure you, if you can stand the lag and since you cannot fully access Opengl properly it will not be so good .

Well, it won't be RTS like the games you mentioned, but you can still create a strategy/tactical game with this script:

would it be laggy from the graphix or all the scripts it would take to make it work?
Thanx shiro, I was actualy gona use that if I do make a game like this lol.
But for things like scrolling around the map, harvesting recources and constructing buildings that make units. is that even posible withs cripts?

This could even be possible with events, though surely, if someone could script for you it would be far easer :P

I could pass on that feature though, never liked the building part in RTSs aside from ones who let you mount your custom units.

Near Fantastic has made one RTS Engine, but due to the compromiss with the guy who request it, he never posted it.

I myself have started on doing one, quite easy I must say. If you realy now what you are doing. But due to personall business(and lack of motivation:p) I quitted.
