Still having install problems

Ok so here is the deal. At SOME POINT I HAD the PK version of RMXP installed on my laptop. I DONT anymore. I got rid of it however I found out recently when trying to install the legal version thata there are some conflicts between the two and they prevent the legal version from being installed. Now I have searched very hard on these forums and on google and can't find anything. Someone please help. I need to know what I need to do to get rid of the interfering files. I have uninstalled and I have deleted the rgss.dll files in the system32 folder but It still gives me the UNKNOWN\RGSS.Archive error. Please someone help me. I really need to work on my game. Ok thx.

It may be something in the registry.

I had PK and a legal copy in the same PC and I had no trouble running them. Try to remove PK through the Uninstall wizard in Control Panel.

I did uninstall that way and it didnt make a difference

As for the registry, Start -> Run -> regedit

Don't mess too much with it if you don't know what you're doing though

If you still want to, press Ctrl + L, type in the name of that version we know and nuke em'.
