Stand Alone Network Game

Hi there,

After creating a few levels using RMXP, i wanted te compress it so i could put the .exe file on a shared folder (in a school network).
I'm a teacher, and want to try new things to teach things to my pupils.
The problem now seems to be, that every single pc has to have rmxp installed because otherwise they can't play the game.
Is there some way in playing a compressed game without having to install something?

regarding,

Computers who do not have RMXP installed can run an RMXP game only if that game has ALL resources it uses imported. Otherwise if you use an RMXP tileset, for example, the computer won't be able to find that file because the game does not have the resource imported.

So basically what you need to do before compressing your game is go into your Materialbase and import all the resources you are using from the RTP. (If you're not sure, just import everything, but the filesize will be much larger than it needs to be.)

Hope that helps.
