Sprite Help

Ok i found some sprites from other games and i wanna put them onto rmxp but you have to get them in the exact right place or their walk animation screws up. Does anyone know any programs or ways to make them equally spaced?

I havent tested this myself but its worth a shot: Divide the image height and width by 4 and use those dimensions to make 16 squares on the image. Then erase the squares when your done.

i personally sprite everything in squares, and than arrange the squares into the proper order.
