This request is a bit different than most, I say shoot for the stars but ehm..
Yes a spore space battle system, where mode07 would be the the use of it.
1. Being able to use mode07 to fly litterally all the way around a planet.
(Map Looping with mode07 and being able to reach everyside of the planet)
2. Battles in mode07.
(Like above but on map with an AI)
3. A Z Plane.
(Up and Down controls for the Z coordinates with an AI that can still follow and attack.)
4. At a certain altitude you can transfer to another map (Space).
(While in space, mode 07 still resides, but enemies won't follow.) (Knowing that it
would take ages for an enemie to actually map transfer in a way with the player.)
5. Using a character (not a battler or as such, Overworld)
(What I'm getting at is not using a multi-directional character for something like this.)
6. An HUD? (The HUD could be anything like Mr.Mo's or like the One Piece HUD in the system)
7. Ships use an animation from the database on death. (Anim that can be set in the enemy event.)
8. Party system? (Have other spaceships following like in an sbabs but not a catipillar form.)
This possibly can be done with Mr.Mo's SBABS and alot of edits to any of the Mode07 Scripts.

Its not necessary to have a planet buster. (A weapon that destroys a planet, can be possible with custom events.) Its not THAT necessary to have cities actually attack you. (Hated planets attack outsiders that aren't welcomed, in this case a map (planet) that has events (enemies) that have a hate group assigned (Affinity) with cities (several events that are not flying) that attack you.
All of this MIGHT be possible with RMXP, but will take some time. Its a huge leap foward compared to a small step in the right direction.. Alot of people could use this for more than just an RPG.
