Man my Spore is going totally crazy right now. It says it can install a patch and when I try it says I don't have enough space on my harddrive... Yeah sure this patch must be over 2,5GB big. That is totally logical. Wonder if I ever get to install it.

Edit: Did it. It didn't even take up 1GB, but I had to have loads of free space to install it (I got it up to 12GB by deleting useless stuff.) Sometimes I totally don't get my computer :sigh:

Edit2: And I don't get EA either. Now all other creatures I know have turned into "Species (insert random number here)" as their name. Don't those guys test stuff before putting it on the net?

Spore is  video game that recently came out that has been in the "workshop" for over 2 years. it was made by will wright, the creator of the sims, and is a God Simulator game that allows you to build a creature from a cell, to a space race.

@Dalton: The patch installed perfectly fine for me. It enables you to start the Creature phase from one of your pre-designed creatures (with a cheat). Man I started a new race and it was super awesome to be so cool off the bat.

Patch? Cheat? why was i not informed of this?

I'll be attempting a Epic Kill in creature stage later, and i'll record it using spore's built in video recorder (which is the best thing since the abiltiy to automatically upload creature vids to youtube). i'll have to turn all of the setting down to low so it doesn't lag though : (

damn it, i tried it 5 times. every time i'd get him down to 500hp and he'd kill me ;(

i tried slinging poison at him, then lured him to my nest, but he'd always kill me at my nest atop a mound of my dead brethren ;(

then when you spawn again, 9 times out of 10, he disappears off somewhere else and is fully healed.

it's really freaking frustrating and i evenutally gave up :/

Since then I will have to use my mother's computer... which is to old for spore. So no creations from me for a while...

I don't think being on top of one another qualifies as dancing, unless I got the secret unrated edition.  I know they don't actually do it per-say, but the point comes across well, especially with some of those "dance" moves.

anyway after the creature stage all that stuff is over anyway.
and after tribal stage you don't even affect how your people are born

Hello. Everyone. I just got Spore today (Galactic Edition). I had to manually uninstall SCC, which was not fun, but the game works so far, which is totally awesome.

One thing I can't figure out is: how long is it supposed to take to Map the Food Web? I sat for two hours waiting, and it never finished. I had to restart my PC before I could get on here to get help. I'm heading over to Spore.com now to see if their is a support topic there, but I thought I'd post here in case nothing comes up there.

I don't know what the food web is...and im just using spore normal, so maybe its a galactic thing? Good luck with it anyhow.
