Spin out racer

Hi gillenew,

I was just speechless when I saw the graphics on the screen shots. Could you tell me please, which program you used to create these graphics ? Do you have any site where you find your inspiration ?

BTW, I'm not able to play the game. I read the previous posts and I don't know if it's because of the link or because of my computer which is not enough powerful. I have an AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1075T Processor 3.00 GHz and 6 hearts. I also have an installed memory of 8.00 GB. I'm really surprised. Maybe you should reduce a little more the quality of the graphics ?

Anyway, really AMAZING job!

thank u anthonykojima, use the link> http://holybox.com.br/game/spinoutracer/ to play the new version with more performance :D

answering your question, I did the graphics using three software:
- 3ds Max to render three-dimensional objects.
- Photoshop for 2D images and screens.
- Particle Illusion to give life to the effects.

inspirations in fact I didn't have many. It all began cause I wanted to make a game like Rock'n'Roll Racing, and my favorite car was the hovercraft :D
after struggling a lot and concluded that it couldn't create such game, I jumped to second phase, this game :D

thx valkyriegames :D
I'm in a constant struggle to get good graphics to use and maintain performance :(

+[Update 04/16/2012]
- Mainscreen ready.
- Items: Life and Ammo added

It loads very quickly for me.

I was confused at first, by forcing the player to use the mouse to click the "RUN!" part, but all of the rest of the game works with keyboard. I'd honestly recommend allowing the player to also use the keyboard to highlight options in the room with the laptop.

The game itself plays and handles really well. I found myself really wanting to be able to speed up or slow down. Perhaps power-ups that allow you to do those things may also be a nice addition.

All in all, this is definitely one of the biggest stunners in the visual category among the other entrants, and I'm really looking forward to what you can pull off with it before the month is out :D

I'm sad to report, but unfortunately most will not use this game for the competition ...

this because I was told later that I could not use some features of the standard version. Yes, I asked in the official thread in a while, but got no answer .. just learned that my project would be limited to the restrictions of the free version later. Such restrictions such as the use of only 100 lines of code, no use of families, use of only four layers, etc ...

I spent a lot of these design limitations and I would surely break the face on the day of delivery. : P

but well, to compete in the challenge I still have a trump card, I gave a stop and let this project for the future. I started one from scratch, this time using only what is available in free version.
I hope that people like, at least. I'm doing everything possible to try to finish on time.
