Soundtrack Issues.

Greetings,

(I know there's a thread for music but as this concerns a RMXP game I think this is the place it would fit better, if it isn't, I'm sorry, please move it.)

Recently I started eventing my game, and I noticed a few issues with the songs I'm using. First of all, they don't seem to loop perfectly, I wonder if that's a problem with the ogg or with the song itself, I had a similar problem with mp3 once, but back then I was told that it was something with the mp3 format, does anyone knows why the song isn't looping properly, is it because ogg or probably something in the song?

Second, even though we're using ogg because I thought it flow better, it seems it doesn't, not my songs, it takes about a second to load them, which causes a little slowness to some cutscenes, it's almost nothing, but it's there, someone once told me with was something to do with the bitrate or something like that... does anyone knows what could be causing it?

I just don't know a thing about composing so I thought you could lend me a hand here...
Thank you for your time and attention.

Regards,
Delmaschio.

This belongs in Gen Support, I'll move it for ya.

To answer your question, mp3's flow because RMXP streams it while it's playing. ogg's, on the other hand, must be fully loaded before it can play, which probably causes the lag you mentioned.

For the looping issue, I'm not too sure but I believe there's some way to make ogg's or mp3's loop. Someone else might be able to help you.

Sorry for that, thank you for moving it.

I understand, well, I don't want mp3 because they're too big, anyway, I'll see what I can do about it. In the meantime I could use some help with the looping, anyone?

Thank you.
