Sound VS Image

Was talking about this with a friend today...

I, personally, remember things better through sound. By this I mean, if you were to play to me just the tune behind a companies slogan; I would more than likely what company it relates to faster than if you were to show me the logo itself, with the text stripped off. Do you see what I mean?

In other words - which of the two would you remember first? The image, or the sound? Sort of an adventure into how different brains remember different things in different ways.

If you remember via any other media, feel free to share that too.

There are different types of learners:
Visual,Auditory and kinesthetic.
Some learn by sound, some better by sight, and others by demonstration. It's pretty much different for everybody! I tend to learn by all three though, I don't have a better medium!

Or I do and I have no idea.

I'm similar to Farah. I can learn well through all three manners, which method works best just depends on what I'm remembering.

I seem to be best with remembering ideas and moods.  I have trouble remembering exact details, which gets annoying in school because details are often important.  For example, I can remember what ideas a religion is based upon, but if you ask me the date when it was started, I have no clue and it would probably take me a long time to remember the date if you told me every day.  Also, I tend to remember the tone of songs first.  Then, I have to work hard to remember the notes and lyrics to it to be able to sing it.  I don't really think it matters whether you notice a sound or image, but how you remember it.

thank you for completely missing the topic plus a synopsis of the topic at the end of your post

pure genius

Aside from me being a dick, the topic isn't about remembering sounds or images. It's about whether you remember better through sound, or through image.

I was trying to say that it doesn't make a difference and backing up my opinion with examples, but apparently that's...off-topic?  I'm not sure if you've misunderstood me or if I've misunderstood the topic.
