Sony Vegas Studio problem.

I have a small problem. I don't know if anyone here uses this program but maybe someone can help me...
I made a video about a game, it's about 7 minutes.
When I save it, it's size becomes 16gb. Like wtf >_>
I've tried different saving options, still the same.
I guess the size of the video becomes the total size of the clips I mixed? But that's crazy! I made the clips with Fraps and that makes a 30 sec clip about 500 mb...

Anyways, something's not right because if I used Windows Movie Maker in the past, the final result was quite a small file, smaller then even 1 clip in it.
I would copy this video to movie maker, and re-save it there, but every time I import something into Movie Maker, it crashes O_o
I'm totally depressed lol. I wanted to make a cool video of the game and upload it to youtube, for my friends to see. But you can't upload 16gb to youtube. And no one would download 16gb for a small video! -_-

Does anyone have a solution? I'd be very grateful!

The problem is the codec and compression you are saving the video as. Likelyhood is that you are saving it in a raw, uncompressed format. Windows Movie Maker automatically saves files into the high-compression .wmv format.

My suggestion is to tinker around with the saving options, and help file, and look for stuff on Saving Compressed Files.

I tried .wmv and it worked, it's 54MB now. Thanks alot! =)

Edit: Omg... when I tried to upload it to youtube, the filesize changed to 215mb. What the...
I even lowered all the quality options...
