I know that, aside from this contest, I remember donating enough for four sponsorships AND a private subforum. One sponsorship was mine, one was theory's, two were for a contest I ran forever ago, and the subforum was for the 1st place winner of the same contest, and he never came back to claim it. At the time, subforums were $10 I think, so the total in donations that I KNOW I've made, so far, is $120 to this site. And I'm almost certain I've donated to support other contests, I just can't remember how much it was.

Just note that this is all the way back to shortly after I first registered, and I'm not certain if it ALL went to the site, due to things like Despain having access.

When you add it all up, it's actually quite a lot that's been given... I wonder how much it actually costs to host the forums per month or year or whatever... (Is it monthly or yearly?)

I might make a donation the very last day (when's that, again?), however, I readily admit it's not my money, it's my parent's money.

On another topic, maybe Despain can't buy an X-box because he spends all his money on booze and drugs. And I'm just speculating here.

Last day for the fundraising specifically for the contest will be Friday, Mar. 2nd.

And the total contributed this far is $437.22, not counting my or any other staff contribs.

I will also make a little hint here that all the contributions will be matched up to ~$790, by a special partnering interest.

Which means that, today, counting only your current donations and my $350 contribution, and this other benefit, we will be able to boast over $1500 in prizes.

Seems like a fair amount of prizery, what do you say?!

For a dedicated VPS, 30GB + unlimited bandwidth, it's a 'sweetheart' deal. :scruff:

Juan, it's more like a litter of puppies. You can't just cut some of them in half to divvy them up.

This is, indeed, an unprecedented amount of loot for a contest. I hope we get lots of participation.
