Some custom sprites.

Thanks for the input. I thought they would be, because they're my first. Also, could you please give me constructive criticism instead of just bashing them? Thanks.

Uhh for one thing they could use some shading. The soda can looks like it's pillow shaded, which isn't good. You should have most of your shading on one side, with just a little bit (or none) on the other.

And the top of that soda can really bugs me. I think it'd be better if you didn't use a straight line for the top.

Ah, let's see....  for a starter, it does look like it needs improvement, but at least you can sprite those kind of things, well done! but next time you do, I think shading and a little more details or nice pallettes to pick would be nice! :)

and Mudane, go hug a puppy or something. :)

Change the color of the coins and/or add more colors - I thought they were grapes. :X  The globe looks all right, sans shading, but it ought to have a dicky on top/side - or is it just a ball sitting on a base with no way to spin? And your cookies could stand to be fatter, or another shape - they're kinda creepy looking.  And if the carrots are gonna be out of the ground, I suggest that the potatoes ought to be as well.

Ah, okay. I'll try doing that. I'll get back to you guys later.

These are decent for first sprites.

I'd have to say a couple things though.

The soda can is pillow shaded, and a little too saturated for my taste.
Pick a slightly more gray-red, and round the top (back) of the can to give it a little more depth.
To fix pillow shading, try to darken it on one side, and lightly shade the other.
Also, you don't need to brighten the center, just darken the sides, and that should make it a little more realistic.
If that made any sense..

I'd also like to say that the coins are kind of green. O_o...

perhaps you should open up some of the vx sprites, and zoom in on them and try to imitate them a bit more. maybe even rip some pallettes for you to use...

Well, that's actually kind of the opposite of what I'm trying to do. I'm sort of trying to create all 100% tiles for my next game. (The carrots were for RTP >_<) o.o I should probably stop, I'm not that good.

Dude i actually like dem. They are really good for your first sprites. Keep it up!
1. Try working on the pineapple thing, it looks kinda like a blur. Maybe make it a little bigger.
2. Those box containers need a little more detail.

Hopefully I helped a little,

I'm a bit Red/Green colorblind.

Once you learn the system it really shouldn't matter.  You know the order of the rainbow, yes? Roy. G. Biv - so the reds and greens are a bit greyish, I'm assuming.  You still know where they are, and that as you go left or right the hue gradually changes to whatever hue is next to it, and gets more saturated as you go up and less as you go down.  So thusly, if you scooch green over to the left a bit, it'll get more yellow, and if you scooch the yellow to the left a bit you'll get gold, so if you add the two together you'll get a nice gold effect for the coins (the yellow/greenish for the base and the pure yellow/golden yellow for highlights.)

Also, coins generally don't look like circles when they're in a pile (forgot to add that.)

Ok if you were going for a game that was completely custom, its could work. it would not mix with many other styles, but in a custom game it might look pretty good. So keep it up.
