So I got my PSP...

Yeah, Disgaea Portable is a must. But at the moment, I'm content with Valkyrie Profile.

Speaking of VP, I have a question about it. I chose Normal Mode, and I fail to regularly send up any Einherjar that Freya needs. How will this affect the outcome?

They call it the "bad ending." If your evaluation drops to 1, it's game over. In order to get the good ending you have to do some pretty damned specific things (seriously, wtf? Like I said - only game I recommend playing with a walkthrough the FIRST time - some of these are more specific than the FFXII requirements for getting the Zodiac spear. It's literally impossible to get the good ending without a walkthrough, because there are characters you have to wait to recruit until chapters later than they are first available, areas you have NOT visit until later chapters, and people you have to send in specific chapters), but sending Einherjar pretty much every chapter is part of it.

Also, you don't get as much MP if you don't send anyone back.

Also, never wear the Nibelung Ring during the sacred phase.

Getting the good ending isn't that bad but it does require managing this stupidly hidden "points" system. You basically gain and lose points (there's no name, it's caculated in the background) for doing certain "hidden" events as well as sending back specific spirits. Also, for whatever reason the Nibelung ring lowers this point value. Go find a gamefaq walkthrough for specifics because it is pretty dumb how they managed the Good ending sytem... almost as bad as getting 100% in FFX-2 on the first playthrough... which I tortured myself to do one month.

Evaluation and Seal points are NOT hidden, Marcus. Not sure how you figured that.

To get the good ending you basically have to have frikkin low seal points (So Odin's control over Lenneth is weakened) in addition to, you know, doing a lot of other really specific things.

And Dopples, I think that all depends on which characters you send in which chapters.

Figured I'd mention that the Noobz PSP hacking team has discovered a new exploit, and probably downgrade ability that will work on (supposedly) and firmware to date. So far, it's just a 'hello world', but I'm sure they'll eventually get a HEN running on it, making it possible to run a downgrade. It runs off of an exploit found in Lumines. Lumines is a (pretty good) puzzle game that's dirt cheap, and easy to find. So if you plan on accessing homebrew, pick up a copy of lumines asap (sales of the game supposedly jumped up 14000% since the exploit was announced, don't quote me on that though, cause I don't know if it's credible), and Noobz will probably have HEN running on every single firmware through the new exploit some time soon.

Yeah, Andy already told me first....Sorry guys :p

Oh, and yeah, Seal Points are at Lenneth's Status Screen, where a character's hero evalutation normally is.

Anyways, I just reset. Playing through hard mode this time, and I'm lvling up all the characters I KNOW I'm gonna send.
