First I must warn that this game takes many of it's inspiration from many animes I've seen, so if you if you are a avid anime watcher you might pick up some(or indeed many) vibes as the story goes along. It's mostly based on adult themed animes like Claymore(heavely present here), Kara no Kyoukai, Tsukihime,etc. I used some characters with the same name and similar character design from different series that I like and gave them new stories and backgrounds. It is heavy on violence and is adult themed.
The game will consist of small arcs and will be divided in chapters.

Story and Background
"Slayers" is set in a fictional world with medieval technology. In this world, humans coexist with a variety of creatures. Humans make most part of the world population. They live in towns, separated by regions. Most are independant towns who have no king. Humans have been tormented by the existence of "Undead". Undead are sentient monsters that feed on human organs.
Undead
Type A: they are the most common Undead. Once human, now this rotten creatures possess special abilities, allied to increase of strength and speed. As contrary to popular belief and legends the undead are not a mindless creature, they conserve the intelligence of their once human life but have given in to their basic instincts, to eat human organs(mostly brains). One of their most known abilities is to assume a human appearance, so they can blend in and prey on unsuspecting victims.
Type B: they are not as common as the Type A but their numbers has been increasing recently. Type B are a very powerfull kind of beings who have almost no traces of human form, their power can be compared to the Noble Vampires in terms of scale. Most are very intelligent creatures who possess more specific goals that Type A ones. Type B can be created in 2 ways: A Type A who has eaten an abnormal high quantity of human brains or a Rank C vampire that has a rare anomaly in his blood.
A highly secretive organization named the Black Order has created an order of superhuman warriors to protect humans from the Undead. These warriors have come to be popularly known as Slayers. Villages being attacked by Undead hire Slayers to kill the Undead for a large fee.
Slayers
The process the Black Order uses for creating the Slayers is still a big mistery only know by a few elite members in the Black Order. All that is know is that Slayers are half human half Vampires hybrids. Altough there are many powerfull types of creatures inhabiting the world, Vampires are know to be the most intellingent and powerfull of all. They can be seen as top of the food chain. It is with no surprise then that the organization as choosen them as the means of power to the warriors they create. With the vampire powers running through their blood the organization has created hybrids that are much more powerful than normal humans and that can efficiently eliminate the Undead. In addition to that they give them an intense weapons training with the sole purpose of creating the perfect warrior.
These hybrids use large swords that normal humans lack the strength to wield and are characterized by their pale skin and their padron blue and silver coloured armour. A Slayer's standard abilities are a copy of true vampires abilities, that include overall enhanced physical prowess, faster healing, nocturnal vision, and an overall increase in all 5 senses. Altough they have great power due to their vampiric counter-part their powers. Slayers are inferior in power and abilities to normal vampires(the ones who are born real vampires) altough they are clearly superior to normal Undead(Type A).
Despite saving humans on a regular basis, Slayers are often alienated from and feared by humans due to the fact that they still are Vampires. Altough they still behave like humans Slayers also need to consume blood in a regular basis, altough in much less quantity that normal vampires, due to their still half human composition. Consuming human blood is tabu and forbidden among the Black Order, for that the order has created Blood Pills. These pills control the urges that Slayers sometimes feel to consume blood and acts as a substitute. Unfortenately sometimes in a Slayer life the urges become too big and Blood Pills are ineffective. When that simptoms start to begin the Slayers have a ironclad order to end their own life before themselves start to prey on humans. Those who don't respect the rule are then targeted by the organization and other Slayers are sent to end their life. Slayers are often girls who suffered this fate or survivors of villages wiped out by Undead. Due to one or more of their background, vampire blood, training, social isolation and harsh lives, Slayers tend to be serious and at least outwardly cold. They often live unhappy, lonely lives due to their solitary lifestyle and the knowledge that they will eventually die or become bloodthirsty monsters. Almost all of them avoid any sort of companionship with humans. All current Slayers are female, since the organization's past experiments with male hybrids have gone awfully wrong, with even fiercest creatures that the Undead to be created.
The Organization aka "Black Order"
The Black Order is usually contacted by towns or villages afflicted by Undead, and goes on to dispatch an appropriate number of Slayers to eliminate the target(s). Upon a successful kill, it then sends an agent to collect a large fee for its services. A town that fails to pay will never receive any further assistance, and will be left at the mercy of the Undead
The Slayers themselves are mostly orphaned girls adopted by the organization, undergoing brutal training and tests to prove their mettle. Those who successfully join the ranks of the Black Order are expected to be unwaveringly loyal to the organization, and adhere to its rules without exception. Those who display any form of outward rebellion, or attempt to betray or leave the organization, are often marked for death.
The Organization's composition, aside from its Slayers, is relatively unknown. Thus far it has been shown to employ numerous agents that act as handlers for the Slayers, passing on mission details, equipment, and funds to the warriors,. These handlers double as money collectors, helping to collect the fees incurred by those who hire the Slayers. Though there appears to be no standard uniform, all handlers are usually identifiable by their all-black ensembles.
Almost all Slayers are created against their will, only becoming half vampires because they had no other way of living or because they were sold to the organization. Many are orphans, abandoned children, or survivors of towns and families attacked by the Undead.
The Black order organization has a strict hierarchy, in which the Slayers are each given a rank corresponding their relative strength. Slayer #1 is the strongest, while #52 is the weakest (and receives a corresponding lack of respect). The number of existing Slayers at any time is officially 52 as that represents the total number of regional jurisdictions that the Slayers are responsible for. If a Slayer happens to die, another Slayer in reserve will be assigned to ocuppy one of the 52 spots. Their ranks is not static, as one Slayer increases its one power and surpasses others their ranks will change to fit accordingly to their actual skills. Usually single digit slayers are considered the best of the best, their power is almost unparaled among the rest and are also assigned to the toughest jobs and act as team leaders when squadrons are formed for specific missions.
Vampires
Vampires are the most powerfull being in existance and the oldest too.They have a very complex society among themselves and live isolated from the human world. Usually in a heavy mountain region with adjacent villages near by. They have their own hierarchy among themselves, wich they greatly respect(at least the majority). Altough they are not as brutal as the Undead, they can't be seen as good natured creatures, most of the are sadistic creatures who like to play with their preys when they feast. They have profound hatred for the organization, as they produce vampire hybrids, who for them are mockery of real vampires and watched with desdain.
Vampires can be divided in 3 ranks most dued to their abilities and level or pureness of their vampire blood:
Rank A are the Purebloods - the elite of Vampirism. They are strongest among Vampires and respected by their peers, they usually have a position of power/leadership in the vampire society, as they can be seen as royality. Purebloods are born as vampires and their blood is pure, with this pureness comes a variety of special abilities and an immense power. Only a bite from a pureblood can change a human into a vampire.
Rank B refers to Noble vampires with advanced powers. As the Purebloods, Nobles are born vampires as well. Their level of power altough is not as immense as the pure ones, is indeed impressive and one of the most feared among living and undead. They as the purebloods possess special abilities even if to a lesser degree. Usually Noble Vampires pledge allegiance to a certain Pureblood and offers it his loyality.
Rank C vampires who were once human. This cursed breed is mostly composed by humans who now suffer from the curse of being a vampire. They serve mostly as servants/slaves to their master, the Pureblood who turned him into a vampire. The exception to this are the "Slayers" who serve no master in particular, altough they serve the organization known as the Black Order, most of them have free will and ideals.
Undead

Not wanting to enter in to many details about the characters at this time, I'll present some of the ones that will be seen in chapter 1 of the game. Since the list of the ones that can be called main/support characters is really extensive, I'll not refer most of them for now because some of them would spoil the content of the story.
Arcueid

Altough she is not a rookie she is ranked pretty low due to her very bad physical abilities and often teased around by other Slayers who often refer to her "as being almost a human being in all aspects". Altough she is bad at physical abilities Milly is said to be one of the most intelligent among the 52 warriors and she excels at regenerative abilities. She currently ranks as number #52 being the lowest ranked Slayer.
