Say a character of mine learns a skill through an event.
I want to have a message pop up along the lines of "Lucian learned Fire3!" AND have that message be accompanied by a sound effect. I know how to do that, the problem is, I want to make it so that the following line of text (a character's line, not an information) cannot show up until the sound effect finishes playing. That is because the sound effect is supposed to indicate the learning of an ability, and the story should not be able to resume until the information is fully carried out.
As it is, if I press the action button, the SE keeps playing as the next line of text shows up, which doesn't make much sense.
Also, I can set "Wait X frames", but that doesn't feel right, as I'm still able to press the action button and make the "Lucian learned Fire3!" message disappear, all it does is wait for the next line to show up. What I wanted to do was force the "Lucian learned etc" line to stay there until the SE stops playing. Any way to do that?
