SIMPLE Questions [VX]

I have 2 simple questions.  (RPG Maker VX)

1) How do you make it to where you can switch out characters in your party for diffrent ones and all characters keep their own stats? (Like if you had more than 4 playable characters in your game)

2) How do you make a non-sellable item?  (Like if you had a key item)

1) If you are changing them using events, they will keep their stats unless you add them in initial state.
2) Set the price of the item to 0.
