Silence is golden?

Hey, I'm making a game and I've been wondering...
Is it, or is it not, a good idea to add voices in my game?

You know, like on FFX, or Kingdon Hearts?

Is it a good idea, or am I just putting too much on my plate?

I believe there is a thread like this in RMXP discussion, seems this is less "general support".

My personal stance is that that'd be a bad idea, regardless of how talented the voice actors are. But it often comes down to personal preference; I just feel that two dimensions doesn't work particularly well for voice action.

it's the wide variety of voice actors you'd need.
I personally hate all british or all amerian actors (mainly found in popular games) in a game, especially RPG's with a whole world. you'd need to create your own accents to pull it off properly and that requires lots of people with talent. Unless you go for the less nit-picky approach...
