sooooo i decided to try my hand at something i'd never done before - shoegaze. i took a lot of influence from my bloody valentine and the deftones, and put together two tracks (actually 3 but i don't like the last enough to share it).
btw if you've never heard of this stuff before, it's basically droning guitars, and a strong 'wall of sound'. expect more reverb than you ever wanted to hear, and amorphous guitar chords which are nearly impossible to make out. also it's very slow and dreamy.
first track:
kinda post-rock-esque, and less drone-y than the other. also has some lead guitar work, and the melodies are more pronounced than the 2nd track. still very dreamy, tho.

second track:
much simpler, there's no lead guitar like in the other. the drums are more sparse, and i turned my bridge pickup on for this one, so there's lots of extra bass frequencies.

i am very happy with both of these tracks, but i'd like some outside opinions. thanks for listening.
