Seeking help with switches.

I'm new to RPG Maker XP, and I am more or less only interested in creating cut scenes at this point in time.

Right now I'm working on creating a cut scene with 7 NPC's. I have turned the opacity of the hero down to 0, so he will not be involved with this at all.

What I'm having trouble with is syncing up actions between the NPC's. I am trying to have one NPC move to a specific spot, then have the camera scroll up and over to the left, then have the other 6 NPC's start to move down to attack the first NPC.

I asked someone else how to do this, and they suggested using switches to control the action...I watched an online tutorial about switches, but its still all greek to me. It seems easy enough, but I think there is something that I'm just not getting.

What I was hoping for was a walkthrough of how to use the scripts, and maybe some screenshots.

You don't need switches for that at all. Whoever told you that is a fucking idiot.

Just use the move event command, then wait, then scroll map, then move event, etc.

Ok, so that would explain why when I activated the switches it brought my HERO back to life...

Do you think you could give me an example of the event page coding? I've tried doing it, but it keeps messing up.

A screenshot would be very helpful.
