scroll map question

firstly let me say sorry if this should be in script request, i just wanna know if there is a way to add a slight blur when i use the scroll map in a event.(using xp if that matters)
 
There's a way, just not practical because everything moves every frame, so you would have to take a screenshot every frame, blur the screenshot, and change it the next frame (which would be impossible, you'd have to do it every other frame because of how the screenshot module works).

My best advice is to just make a fog, very low transparency, and have that shown when the player moves. Only real way to do it, that I can think of.
 
He did say with Event driven Scroll Map only... (cutscenes?)

What if we captured the whole map as an image, blurred it, and just moved the picture?

Death, would it be ok if it's a static image? (event's wouldn't move around, and animations won't play)
Try out the fog, and if you can't get what you're shooting for, we'll try this way.

yes it is for a cut scene, no events are moving when the screen does, but there are events immediately before and after if that helps. i dont care how i get the blur effect i was just wondering if there was a way without scripting, so what ever you think is that best way...you save me all the time so ill listen to which ever way you think is best.
