Save Game Variable Help?

I'm an absolutely crap scripter, so don't be mad at me for asking a really stupid question, but..

How can I display a variable in the 'Saved Game Box' when loading/saving? The variable displays Game Progess, and if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

*'Saved Game Box' is the normal RPG Maker slot (out of four) used when saving/loading a normal game.
