Satellite to hit Earth

$t3v0

Awesome Bro

Well it ... you know ......... has naval stuff. Buff men who have no clue how to please a woman

I change my answer to Plymouth.

hm...actually...I want it to just blow the usa away totally, but if I have to choose...
Marana AZ. There are a few people I REALLY want dead there.

xD, We're all gonna die ... The sattelite'll hit into some island causing it to collapse into the water triggering a catastrophic release of energy resulting in the biggest tsunami ever recorded bringing with it a host of natural and  ecological problems killing millions and leaving the earth in a useless waste heap. Then, Cloverfield'll come and wreak MORE havoc ... AND TOADS WILL BECOME EXTINCT! (No, pun intended Sixty) AND THE Common man will rule the EARTH.

No but seriously, if the satellite doesn't burn up upon re-entry of the earth's atmosphere, there could be a possible problem if the satellite hits the suface of a body of water with enough force. We could be looking at a possible super-tsunami ... O.o

Sorry but BS. Planes crash over the sea all the while with no trouble*, and didn't that shuttle that blew up a couple of years ago land in the sea?

*well, not of this kind

It's not the force of the impact that causes tsunamis, but the mass displaced.  This is why underwater landslides cause the largest tsunamis.

I've read books about this. The moon is actually sending projectiles at us to drive its point home and lobby for its independence. Damn Loonies.

In all seriousness, I had taken a rather "ho-hum" standpoint to this before I read about the beryllium. That would certainly suck. I'm hoping they manage to work out where it might impact before the end of February, so that proper evacuations can be made and sustained.

Of course, we're two-thirds ocean. Whatever happens, I'm willing to put money on my faith that the splashdown of a spy satellite will have less of an effect that the Skylab mentioned further down in the article.

As for whatever secrets people might be able to garner from the steaming wreckage of a satellite... Good luck and fair trails to them, I say. I think I was more scared while the spy satellite was still hanging in the sky like King Damocles' sword.

i hope it lands on my fucking house so i can collect up on the insurance. this lunar space module coverage is costing me 16$ a month
