Hey everyone. This is just a small project I've decided to start in VX. It mostly falls under the genre of visual novel. It's also a subliminal visual novel parody outlet for me, heh.

A researcher of ancient ruins has arrived on the Floating Continent of Eltia along with his student/assistant, and this sister. He searches the ruins of the Eltian Continent for a relic...

Alvis Zellen
Age: 26
Race: Human
Occupation: Starting Researcher
Weapon: Grimoire of Talis, a book containing all sorts of magical theories and legends. It also serves as a magic power booster
Abilities: Manipulation of Wind, Wind Weapon Synchronization
Personality: A young researcher who is still forging his path. He has no remarkable feats under his belt. He doesn't mind either. Alvis really wanted to be an Ether-technology Engineer, but his sister's sickness pushed him away from that and into finding the relic.
Alvis looks cold, calculating, and perceptive, but that's all a lie. He's really just an inexperienced researcher running around the world exploring ruins on a whim. He usually has his head in the clouds and tends to be a bit irresponsible. He's a dreamer all right. His assistant, Kell, is always close by, making sure he doesn't do anything stupid.

Levia Zellen
Age: 16
Race: Human
Occupation: Magic School Student
Weapon: Etherlight Lance, a lance made of light metal that has been magically enchanted
Abilities: Power to manipulate metal, changing it's shape according to her wishes.
Personality: Levia is a student of a school called Hjordis Academy for Swords and Ether Arts on the Continent of Vaneer. Despite her looks, Levia is a capable fighter and Ether Arts specialist, but excels at neither. In addition to all this. Levia seems to have an illness. She has a tendency to cough up blood at random times and just get weak, despite being perfectly healthy for weeks or months before. No medicine in the world has helped her. Her brother, Alvis, fears for her life and dropped his engineering studies in order to pursue an old legend. She thinks that it's an irresponsible thing to do, but she appreciates his sacrifice anyway. Alvis didn't want her going to school on her own, so he got permission to temporarily withdraw her from school.
Levia tends to be a bit shy and timid, which effectively fools anyone into thinking that she cannot defend herself. Because of this shyness, she tends to be a bit of a loner. Not having many friends, if any at all.

Kell Miria
Age: 15
Race: White Wolf Beast
Occupation: Researcher's Student/Assistant
Weapon: Fenrir, an Eltian style dagger known as a wakizashi. It has been enchanted with Crystal Magic
Abilities: Manipulation of Crystal, Crystal Weapon Synchronization, Canine Beast Strength
Personality: Kell is a young beast girl who travels with Alvis as his assistant. She first met Alvis a little over a year ago when she studying at Valdis Academy on on the Lumina Continent.
It was during a trip to the temple on the grounds of the academy that she met Alvis. She was exporing the Flame Temple alone, looking for ingredients for homework when she got surrounded by a group of monsters. She was sure she was going to be killed. Surrounded by a group of monsters of an element that is her natural enemy, there was no way out. But at that moment a blast of wind knocked the monsters away, and then several wind blades cut them apart. After all this took place, a man with long green hair stood before her. He then broke into a sheepish grin and asked her if she was all right. It was there that she fell in love with him. Getting permission from the academy headmaster, Kell took temporary leave of the school to travel with Alvis and learn from him. She knows that they cannot possibly be together the way she wants, but she still wants to help him for saving her life regardless.
Kell is pretty much Alvis' conscience. Making sure to bring him back to reality whenever he spaces out, as well as handling any business that he may overlook. She's a kind person, if not, a bit strict. Kell mentions that she used to have a sister by the name of Zuleika, but she disappeared ten years ago and no one has heard from her since. She has since ben assumed dead and people have moved on. Kell refuses to accept this, believing that her sister is still out there somewhere. On top of keeping Alvis in check, Kell searches for any signs of her wherever they go...

Haruko Yuuki
Age: 21
Race: Eltian
Occupation: Guide
Weapon: Sword of the Sky, an ancient eltian relic. It is a Katana brimming with Bolt energy
Abilities: Manipulation of Bolt, Bolt Weapon Synchronization, Ability to call lightning from the sky and directly into her sword
Personality: Haruko ends up meeting with Alvis and company when they visit her village, staying there in order to search the various ruins in the area. The village leader assigns Haruko to them as a guide. Not one to complain, Haruko complies. Haruko doesn't trust Alvis' group and as such, is also guiding them to keep watch of them.
Haruko comes off as a generally boring person to most people. She's cold, and silent. Only speaking when addressed, and even then, it's with short replies. Because of this, most people fear her. In truth, Haruko is not angry, cold, or threatening. She's not a very social person to begin with, so she handles it by walling herself up and keeping others out. Very few people actually understand her, Ayame and the Village Leader being some of the few.

Ayame Shiina
Age: 18
Race: Eltian
Occupation: Adventurer
Weapon: Vortex Space, a pair of bracers enchanted with water magic
Abilities: Manipulation of Water, Water Weapon Synchronization, Considerable Martial arts skill
Personality: Ayame comes from the same village as Haruko. Ayame finds the village to be a dreadfully boring place and as such, She has delusions of being a great adventurer and is constantly leaving the village, sometimes for months at a time. She always comes back though. Whenever she is in the village, she usually spends her time humoring the kids and teaching them martials arts.
Ayame is an incredibly annoying person to be around. She has an ego the size of Mount Everest and it shows in very obvious ways. She's also incredibly loud. Ayame likes to think of Haruko as her sort of rival/friend and she annoys her constantly, provoking her into sparring matches and sometimes dragging her out of the village to travel with her as well. She's one of the few people who are not afraid of Haruko and understand the kind of person she is.

Reiven Eslen
Age: 22
Race: Half Human, Half Black Wolf Beast
Occupation: Treasure Hunter
Weapon: Gaea's Talons, a pair of claws enchanted with gaea energy
Abilities: Manipulation of Gaea, Gaea Weapon Synchronization, Power to understand dogs and other lower canine creatures.
Personality: Reiven is a two-bit treasure hunter who is looking for The Relic. Even after all the other hunters gave up over time, he still searches. He says, that he has a wish that only The Relic can grant him. Thus, he searches. Reiven has come into contact with Alvis' group many times, and as such, they are something akin to bitter rivals. Reiven can't stand Alvis' apparent 'holier than thou' attitude and the fact that he's after The Relic as well. Alvis can't stand Reiven for being another run of the mill treasure hunter out to find the relic for selfish(?) reasons.
Reiven has something of a rough demeanor. He's loud, has a...colorful language, and he's just generally an unpleasant person to be around for long.

Shula Falenia
Age: 28
Race: Human
Occupation: Ether Shop Proprietor
Weapon: Flare Ring and Agni's Lamp, The former being a magic boosting catalyst and the latter being an unorthodox weapon that can create fire.
Abilities: Manipulation of Flame, Power to naturally absorb fire
Personality: Shula is devious, energetic, and a little bit of a pervert. She runs an Ether Shop in the town of Tellius on Eltian continent. One of the few towns with an airship port. Due to her location, her business is doing very well. Shula ends up meeting Alvis' group after she had her shop robbed of some rare goods. She had set out to find the thieves and well...kick their asses to kingdom come. She crosses paths with Alvis while in the middle of this and they work together to catch the thieves.

Itzal Verunius
Age: 68
Race: Vampire Demon
Occupation: Adventurer
Weapon: Shadow Savior, an Eltian Katana that has been customized to his needs as well as enchanted with Shadow Magic
Abilities: Manipulation of Shadow, Shadow Weapon Synchronization, Power to see clearly even in the darkest of nights
Personality: Itzal is a mysterious man, traveling the world of Militades in search of The Relic. His reasons are unknown. Itzal is actually a pleasant man and can be seen humoring children in towns and helping people out with mundane things. Because of this, his name has become rather well known among people of the world. However, there are also stories told by people who have managed to end up opposing him. They place him as a ruthless and efficient fighter who can take down his enemies in mere moments. Surely it can't be true.
Alvis and his group run in Itzal quite often actually, but neither of the two know that they are after the same thing. If they do find out, things may not be so peaceful anymore.
---------- 'Gameplay' ----------
The game unfolds in the same manner as Fire Emblem, except that the gaps between battles will be much, much wider. You read the story, make choices that effect what your party thinks of you, and fight the occasional battle when the situation arises.

No battle shots because there isn't a system out there that I like yet, Heh. Gubid's is close, but not exactly what I want. I may have to ask for help on that one when the time comes. but I digress.
