I've decided to work on my standalone game again, but I need a plant that tries to eat you as you walk by. It should match the RMXP RTP. Make the top any colors you want, but basically like the above picture.

Ummmm... I don't have anything to give except for my eternal love. Which sucks. Sowwies.

What do you want the charset to be doing? I assume you want some movement, but I don't think plants can walk. Do you just want an idling animation? Or do you want it to actually be snapping/grabbing?

What do you mean by "basically" like the picture?

It doesn't walk, it stays in place and snaps at the player as she flies by. :D

So probably it would need to charactersets. An idle one, and one that snaps at her. Unless there's a way to fit it into one. I might be able to do one if I have the base of the plant.

Basically like the picture? Ummm... Probably just copy it, but use colors that match the RTP.

If you or someone you can help, I'd be in debt. The game's progress has stopped because of this. ;_;

I actually made an idle sprite for something like this, but never got around to the attacking animation. I'll search for it later when I get back and post it, in case anyone wants to work off that.

PS Don't let a single sprite delay your game! Just use a placeholder and move on

EDIT: I feel bad for posting because I haven't actually had access to the computer with my files but I will get it to you tomorrow I promise!

Also, you're right. I shouldn't let this sprite stop me from working on my game.

I want to finish it, but I need some motivation.

Here ya go!

It's far from perfect (not as spiky or bushy as reference picture) and you can't see the teeth unless it's over a darker background color, but I was pretty pleased with it for a beginner spriter.

I haven't made an attacking animation (seems too difficult), but maybe someone will use this (or an edited version) as a base?

It should help a lot. I could try my hand at an attacking animation, or maybe I could bribe Star to do it. Lols.
