RTP Challenge: Vacancy

Young Norman Gates is travelling through a peaceful forest. To his surprise a sudden fog and rather nasty rainstorm make it almost impossible to see. A very dangerous situation to be in. Norman hikes on in hope that he will find some sort of shelter. His prayers are answers when he spots light coming from torches in the front of what seems to be an old manor. Norman proceeds to knock and is eventually let inside only to find no one is around. The place is dark and somewhat unpleasant, but I suppose anything is better then being out in that rain?

Description: A young man with a very polite upbringing. Born of noble and religious blood. One major downfall is his apparent lack of common sense and his loss of fear when the average person would run for their lives.

This actually does look really nice, sounds like it will be nice and simple, but well executed. You've left alot of the story to come, which i like. even thought he forest is sposed to be really dark, people will probably say its too dark, thats what they said about my maps! So I'd consider making it a little lighter.

All in all looks promising at this stage...

Well you don't actually have to navigate through the forest. The story is basically all that happens in the beginning cut scene. Which isn't too long but just long enough to set the mood.

The actual game doesn't start until you are inside the manor and I don't really want to give away too much about it until I release a demo.

Reminds me of an RM2K3 game called Eidolon sorta...

Added some screenshots, aswell as updated the old ones as I have changed the lighting to be less dark in some maps and the layout in others.

A demo should be on it's way quite shortly. I am not sure if I want to include the beginning of the game in the demo or have it somewhere in the middle of the game. Either way I am trying to figure out a way of doing it without giving too much away.
