[RPG] Original MP3 Video Game Music by Da Buzz

Hi folks,

I'm a 25 year old composer from Germany. I create music for video games.
I'd like to show you one of my soundtracks I created for an RPG Maker game called "Onyx - Sword of Darkness" that got cancelled unfortunately.
The soundtrack consists of 51 midi files and includes tracks like town themes, battle themes, character themes and many more.

Anyway, I wouldn't want the music to go to waste, so I'd like to offer it to you guys, so you can use it in your RPG Maker games.
Make sure to mention my name (Carsten Jessen aka Da Buzz) and my website (www.vgmusic.de) in your credits.
If you are using mp3s instead of midis, check out my website which features dozens of original compositions in MP3
that you can use in your RPG Maker games.

Here are a few samples from the "Onyx - Sword of Darkness" soundtrack:
Little Tantas
Mountain Peak
Yukos Theme

Here you can download the entire soundtrack:

Here is some more music:

1) Da Buzz-Apocalypse
2) Da Buzz-Alamo
3) Da Buzz-Endless Horizon
4) Da Buzz-Spring Heeled Jack
5) Da Buzz-Step Into Paradise
6) Da Buzz-In Your Eyes (with Vocals by Elisha Bagenstose)
7) Da Buzz-Distant Universe
8) Da Buzz-Arrival of the King
9) Da Buzz-Windswept Waltz
10) Da Buzz-Rivalry (The Snap Song)
11) Da Buzz-Hawks Castle
12) Da Buzz-Twilight Mysteries

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my music. Feel free to leave your comments and suggestions.

I went ahead and merged your two topics to get more attention to your music and to save space ~moog

these are pretty good, nice work man. I may be able to use some of these. As I am working on a pretty major project and need some original sounds for things. Credit to ya bud.

Coolbeans  :thumb:  I listened to the first few tracks and I really dig the acoustic quality of your songs. What strikes me though is that a lot them have very familiar passes, do you have a lot of influence from classical music? : )

These tracks are very professional, it sounds like something you'd find in a big time Hollywood movie! I really dig the classical touch you've put into each of these tracks, and the ambience fills the room nicely with surround sound, I'm putting these into a playlist so I can listen to them all tomorrow.

My favorites out of all of these are Rivalry and Distant Universe, although everything I've heard so far is pretty good. Keep up the good work man, you could go big time with this maybe!

Once again, you've impressed me! I'm listening to the entire soundtrack right now, and it reminds me alot of like FF music but 100 times better in most cases (like how your Battle Theme sounds like FFIX battle theme at the very start, but ends up being its own battle theme altogether.) I've only listened to the first 6 tracks, but I'm guessing that the rest of the soundtrack is pretty awesome because the first 6 tracks I heard kick ass!

It's all incredible. Sorry to hear that Onyx got cancelled, but I assure you that this won't go to waste. I'll definitely use as much as I can in my game...

The "In Your Eyes" song is beautiful. It would work well as a main theme for any game with a decent romance subplot. I love Elisha's voice. Is she a professional singer, or where did you find her?

Is something wrong with the links? I was able to download the ONYX Ost... which is phenominal, by the way.

But as I click on songs like Apocalypse and In Your Eyes, it just leads me to dead links. Something happen? Links wont even work on your website, either.

That's layum, because I wanted to check out In Your Eyes too. Haha. Anyways, excellent compositions. You're going to go places, fo sho! ^_^

Thanks a lot for your responses.

@Drenz: The links should be fine. I just checked them and they all work with my IE.

@SirJames: I found recorded "In Your Eyes" with Elisha and Christi, both semi professional singers I found on the internet
(no record deal or anything like that, just good singers).
I messaged them and told them about my composition and they were both happy to record their voices for my track.
You can listen to Christi's version on my website.

@Shizu: I have several influences. I think I'm mostly influenced by video game music (Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda) and film scores (John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman), but there's definitely some classical influence as well.
I try to listen to as much different music as possible.

@Kain Nobel: Thank you very much :)

Thank you for viewing
