RPG Maker Wont open

My rpg maker wont open a new game... it says either "Unable to read hero data", or "Unable to read map data"... What is the solution to this?

the only solution is to disinstall, clean the registry (for sureness), and reinstall.

it won't open a previous project or not at all? if not at all, try a re-install, but if it is just the project, create a new one.

I've had this happen before, I just can't remember how I fiexed it. Try copying all your files into a new project. If that doesn't work, Tricker's option will.

Well... im sure its not the projects because I'm trying to make a new one and it wont let me... it says unable to read hero/map data...

You probably had RMXP open, then shut down the computer the wrong way (ie abruptly turning it off).

Also if you cant find a way to fix it go to google.ca or ask.com were there is most likely thousands of answer to your problem!

are you sure you already installed the RTP in your system?

Now Shadowball is the one who is right. But not 100%.

Coz the problem here is: he is missing the .rxdata files to run the game.

But, RMXP wont even start if you dont have RTP. So, you must have installed both, but accidentally removed the RTP..
