Rotting food script? [SOLVED]

Technically, I want a meat item in the players inventory to turn into a "rotten meat" item after a certain duration.

Example:
Player received raw meat!
"Oh, well I don't feel like cooking this now. I'll just do it later"
20 minutes later (Or less)
"Oh no! Where did all my meat go?!"
"Oh! It's rotten D: The whole day of hunting was ruined. I'll cook my meat from now on!"

This can be done pretty easily with a timer in a common event, I think. I'll try it.

Well I don't want the player knowing what's happening :\
And there can be multiple meat in the players inventory.

Just a thought... but are they all be seperated?

- Meat - Meat
- Meat - Meat
- Meat - Bad Meat

or will it be more like

- Meat x 10 - Bad Meat x9

Either way, it might be kinda tricky to program.

Cause what if a meat was gonna go bad, and
then you bought another one. will both go bad?

I don't mean to add to the problem, but if someone
is going to do it...
Questions like that, and the solution to it....

Help a lot in the planning to program it.

Yeah, they'll be seperate.

Here's how it would play out through the game.
The player would grab a piece of meat from maybe a rabbit that they killed. Let's say that meat goes rancid 5 minutes after they picked it up. If they pick up another piece of meat, 3 minutes after the first one, 2 minutes later the first one would have gone bad and the other one is still good because its timer hasn't ran out yet.

You get it?
I'm not much of a scripter though, so I can't really pull out a solution :\
