Roamer: Begginings

Okay! So, I've been using this rpgmaker for like two years and I've finally came up with an idea I think I'll use. BTW, I just turned eleven so I might need a little help with spriting. And I'm in desperate need of a patch script (Like Gayinde's Patching Script) for XP, so PM me if you have one.
Okay now for some screens and the actual progect XD.

Roamer: Begginings has just about no storyline at all, and is spent playing a Roamer. Roamers are sworn to helping their town survive by doing quests and exploring their world. The point of this game will be to do missions that'll have you exploring dungeons, stopping raids, getting to certain floors in a "Roamer Tower" (more on that later), defeating monsters, hunting items, and rescuing people lost in numerous dungeons throughout the game. I'm hoping this game will have around 250 maps and over 40 dungeons. Yes, I know its a bit ambitious but I'll keeping working on it and hope it comes out well.

This doesn't really have enough information. Reading what you have there, I still don't know much about the game. What about the characters? Plot? Background story? You say that there really isn't a story, or characters, but still, you need to tell people why they should play this game. How did Roamers come about? Why are they sworn to protect their towns?

Also, your screenshots are a bit lackluster. They are far too empty (especially the one inside the building) and uninteresting. Some mapping tutorials might help. (hint: for the indoor one, making the area smaller makes it look less empty)

Right now I don't see nearly enough information. It's premise is interesting, and I always like to play people's first games, but right now, I don't really know enough.

Time to answer in the least serious way possible.

Oh great, another one. >_> Disregard my simillar age, but I'm sick of people using their age as an excuse. I mean, look at Vazoh! He does that enough for all of us.
LOL.

I swear, I totally lost about half of my interest in this.

Would it ruin the effect if I told you we have no idea why, and you may need to elaborate.

Sound like the basic gameplay of just about every jRPG stuffed into one plotline.

It's only ambitious depending on how quality the maps and dungeons are. I mean, maps are nothing to base things on, they can vary from something like 545 by 500 tiles (oh the lag) or something like that to 25 by 20, and they're also based upon quality, which might I add, your first screenshot is lacking of. Speaking of screenshots, let's move on to them, shall we?:
@1st: I don't know why people buy such large houses if they only own a book case, a piano, and one bed where only one person can fit in yet in a house where two people are apparently living. It's not really getting your money's worth.
@2nd: According to Oric, he already realizes he's acting as a plot device.
@3rd: I have no idea who is talking, you know. Name? Face? Both? ANYTHING?
@4th: heh Arshes.
Characters? Features? This post is severely lacking in detail. Click here for more details.
Two people posted while I was typing all of this. xD

Sorry my friend, but the first screenshot of the house makes me cry. Try spicing it up with a smaller house, more rooms, and more stuff inside it aye?

Btw.. if it's a free roaming came I think the last screenshot is pretty good. Could be better, admittedly, but still.

This 'Roamer Tower' interests me. Care to elaborate?

Well, im going to try my best to reply on all this.
How did Roamers come about? Why are they sworn to protect their towns?
Roamer's arent really 'sworn' to protect their town. its more like a job, if you are a Roamer, you're saying that you are willing to help your town.

I guess there is a small storyline, like after 10 missions you advance a little more into the storyline
Also, your screenshots are a bit lackluster. They are far too empty (especially the one inside the building) and uninteresting.
I'm not very good at screenshots. But I really work on my mapping and I think these should be good enough:

Now, I can understand the building, I rushed that a little and i'm going to work on it a little more

The Roamer Tower is basically like the battle tower in pokemon except it is a little more elaborate. You will be braving labyrinths, solving puzzles and the usual formula: fighting monsters.

That is a bit better than some of the maps you had previously shown, but I would still suggest you post up your maps in Mapping Improvement:

and listen to how you can improve. Just remember that nobody starts out perfect, and no one ever will be.

Wow, the Roamer tower really sounds... great.
And yeah, as I've said I liked your forest screeny ingame.
The town is amazing too. Although don't take my word for it, I'm just so rubbish at making towns of any sort. Still, the layout has a nice feel to it. Keep it up.

those overhead tree autotiles are like claws on a chalk board to my eyes, ive only seen one person use them correctly, out of quite a few ; most people hate them because they look like crap, i would get rid of them. and on your town, unless your farm folk are extremely rich, they wont be living in houses that big, cut down on house sizes.

Let's not blow our first load so quick, I'm pretty sure he was only joking! Loosen up a bit.

And as for your game, masterlemons, the title should be Roamer: Beginnings, unless of course you spelled it that way for a reason, in that case go right ahead.
And your maps are decent, but I agree with Nickster in that you should scrap those treetop autotiles. At least in the town, it just doesn't look good. And on that other map, it's too blocky to be realistic. But that map is pretty good otherwise! Also about the town, you said it was the main square with just shops, but someone's got a clothesline outside. Unless it's a drycleaning business(which seems like a pretty shoddy profession when all they do is hang up your clothes), it doesn't feel natural. Other than all that, your maps aren't too bad(except the house :x) and your game sounds interesting enough. I'd definitely add some kind of a plot to it. Does the player keep solving quests until they grow old and die? Or is there some incentive that will keep me interested in playing it for more than half an hour? This type of game doesn't need an epic professional quality plot, but maybe some kind of motivation for why you are a Roamer, or something. Or maybe there's just a cool prize at the top of the Roamer Tower, I dunno.
In any case, good luck with it!
