Hi there,
My problem is pretty straight-forward: RMXP won't play custom (That is, non-RTP) music files either in-game or in the sound-test menu.
I have double checked and the sound files play normally in Winamp and other media players, and RTP music plays fine in the sound-test menu.
Anyone know of a Solution? I previously had both the Postality version and the regular kind, and after uninstalling the postality I ran into some trouble,
SO, I uninstalled the regular RMXP as well, reinstalled it, and continued to run into issues.
Frustrated, I removed EVERY single reference to both programs from the registry and rebooted in hopes that the program could start "fresh".
It appears that has not been the case. While the program installed fine and now runs fine, there remains this one issue. So to reiterate: What solutions are available to fix the music problem?
Just to be sure, I tested it both with an existing game and with a new project, same results either way. I also noted that I had one music file (that was not RTP) in the BGM-list in the sound-test menu,
and it could not be deleted by the Resource Manager.
I KNOW already I probably shouldn't have messed with the Postality Knights version, so if you're gonna come into here simply to berate me about that, save yourself the time and don't.
