RMXP Vista Help

Ok, so I just got a new computer and it's OS is vista. So I downloaded rmxp again so I can continue with my projects and get them done. I got xp to open with the compatibility and admin thing. I did it for the game file in the system folder to, but when I try to test a game, it still fails. I can edit projects but not run them. How do I fix this? I can't downgrade the OS to xp as some specs on this comp are to powerful for xp.

All you should have to do is run it with administrative privileges, no need to run it in windows XP compatibility mode. Also, you're not very descriptive about the error you're receiving. "It fails" doesn't really say much at all.

From what I have gathered, it isn't the nTitles error, but another error that occasionally crops up for some reason or another that causes RGSSPlayer to stop working. I've never managed to fix that, and I think it may be an issue with another program that may be running on the computer.

Glitch is probably right. You should format to a clean copy of vista without all the junk software most built computers come with. And what do you mean some of your hardware is "too good" for Windows XP? Most gamers use it.

I did run it with administrative priviledges. Right now, it just says failed to create process, but before it had the whole windows stopped working error one and then closes the program. I say its to good cause this is a 64bit operating vista with specs like 8GB RAM. Xp is a 32 bit OS. I know there is a 64 bit one but chances of me getting that......yeah...... I would not rather reinstall vista cause it was alot of trouble to put some programs like adobe suite cs3 on here. Ill keep playing with it though and let you all know if I fix it.

the "failed to create process" error normally comes about if the game.exe isn't with the project. My anti-virus once took all "game.exe" as virus and deleted them because "game.exe" isnt microsoft standard lol. Screwed up all me games, until i just put a game.exe back in from a project i saved externally.

Hope that helps.
