RMXP owns the Internet!

Er... I'm using Mozilla Firefox, latest version.

For some unknown reason, RMXP.org is the -only- website I can now load.

I've tried:

RMVX.org
Play.com
Amazon.com
RuneScape.com
Wikipedia.org
Games-Workshop.co.uk
Google.co.uk
Yahoo.com
Ask.com
Gmail.com
Forgeworld.co.uk

So yeah, -only- RMXP.org is working. Nothing else. Not even the different names for RMXP.org.

Wtf?

RMXP.org literally owns the Internetz.

Anyone got a clue what's going on? Is it teh rebellion?

Even Google Ads have now gone; the ads at the top of this page just show "page cannot be loaded".

We just lost one more, Photofuckit has disappeared now and my sig wont show.

I've had something similar happen before.  Restart your computer and reset your modem (unplug it and plug it back in).

Anyway, it's back to normal this morning, so it looks like turning my PC off and on again worked. :p

Still a pretty cool, if annoying, bug.

It's not that cool but it is a little weird, if it happens again could you post some details?  We might be able to narrow it down.  Specifically:

What, if any, internet security software you're running,
The exact version of your browser (is it FFox2 or 3, and if 3 which revision/RC)
Any browser addons you're running (I'm mainly interested in Ad-Block plus)
The contents of your hosts file (c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts)
A hijack this log if you could be bothered (www.merijn.org)
Go to a command prompt (start>run>cmd) and type tracert followed by the name of any site you know you can't access (e.g. tracert www.google.com) just out of curiosity as well as a tracert on www.rmxp.org and post both for me

Oh also check and make sure you're not working offline, you shouldn't be able to post mind you.

It's probably not a big deal, but I'm curious.  It's not the sort of bug you hear about often.  If not, no worries :D
