Game Info:
This is my very first game. I quit working on it after I partially completed the hidden world after you beat the game, which is removed in this new version with updated mapping, scripts, and graphics.

Version History:
- V1: First demo! See the mapping, graphics, and some scripts used! Some bugs...
- V2: Removed most bugs in V1. Added two more maps. Can battle one enemy.
- V2.5: Fixed up bugs from V2. Forville still incomplete. You can now go into forest, and guard has less HP. Many more scripts also added.

•"Hilda: n\[2]! Don't say things like that!" Sounds like someone addressing a Star Wars droid.
•Arshes (!) has become some sort of giant during battles.
•The training guard is a bit of a puzzle. Is he supposed to be beaten? If not, it's not really much by way of training, since you won't get XP off him. Otherwise, he's not exactly easy to beat-- almost at boss level considering the strengths of the party at that point.
•Location, Gold and ring menu text includes some black. Bet this won't work if you have any dark dungeons.

It's a nice start. Bit too early to tell how it's going to turn out, but progress has definitely been made. You seem to know where you are going with it.
 
Thank you! I will address your problems one by one. They will be or at least should be fixed in V3.

1.) That was a typo... easy fix.
2.) I found the error. I had the normal battle-system at first so I had to locate the event that changed his battle into the large one.
3.) It's just a way to see how battling works. He will have less health in the next version. By the way, you don't gain levels. You either use special items to raise your stats or better equipment.
4.) I know for sure I will have one actual "dungeon." If I see that it's a problem, I'll change the colors. But as far as I know, the white will also be hard to see in another area.
 
Once you start making progress with reflections and shadows, let me know! I understand vaguely how to use it from how it was used in Rataime's demo, but I'd rather know for sure instead of just experimenting only to find out it kills my message script, or something. It seems to run on triggers in the comments of events (take a look at the reflections/mirror maps and layers when you download it).
 
Ah, it was your demo I tested and saw the bug. When I use the skull option in the menu right at the beginning, and then hit escape to cancel it (was just exploring options) it crashed on me. Some RGSS error I think.

Very polished looking so far. I liked the sound effects and small details added here and there. One thing - it asked me to rename the friends, but they kept the defaults once I was finished.





(I have to wonder about the reasoning behind the piano in the gatehouse...)
 
Scribblette, that was aa error because I changed the script. That will be fixed in V3.

Kest, it worked for me. So far I havn't had any other problems. Maybe you just forgot to select Confirm and pressed ESC instead, not sure though. And the piano is to keep guards entertained. They'd get awfully bored just reading, sleeping, and eating!:D

Are those really features, or just scripts you copied and pasted?
 
Well they are features in my game. Yes most are scripts that are copied and pasted, but there was some editing done by me in there!

Good news! I got the Reflection script to work! When I finish V3, screenshots will be added!
