[RMXP]Game.exe Problem

Hey guys, first of all I was debating whether to post this here or at the Computer and Hardware Forum, so please move this if appropriate.

Well moving on to my problem. I have a problem with Game.exe, whenever I open it, it slows down my computer sharply. I have no problem opening Game.rxproj. It's just either when I open Game.exe or playtest. So for now, it's virtually impossible to do anything if I want to playtest a game. This is very annoying.

Dell. XP SP2. 512MB RAM. I forgot to mention that I've never had any problems running Game.exe before. It was after sometime I formatted my comp.

Well, 512MB isn't much RAM by today's standards, but if you've never had a problem before, it might be something that happened when you formatted your harddrive (if that's what you meant). Running at 512, I'm not surprised it's slow, but have you had any other problems with your computer since you worked on it?

Haha yeah I'm aware of the 'not much by today's standard' thing. It's because RMXP doesn't require that much RAM, so this comp is just like the creating comp. Yeah I meant formatting my HDD. I have had no problems with my computer other than this, so far.

I've found the problem. It is only that project when I open Game.exe will slow my computer. It works for any other project. Now brb, I have to restart the comp again... :sad:

Nope I fixed it too. I just copied all the Data, Graphics, and Audio folders to a new project. And it works. I guess the Game.exe that slows my computer is just corrupted. Thanks again for your help.

Ah, well, I didn't really do much, but I tried! LOL
Glad it works. I know weird crap like that happens all the time... I'm encountering that with some programming compilers right now. *sigh*
