RMXP activation code problem.

Well, I recently got a new computer with Vista on it.
I also re-downloaded RMXP to begin working on my projects again. I have a problem.

After I downloaded and installed I expected the buy now screen to come up and I would enter my code and have my XP working. But. Not so easy.
Instead of getting that screen I get this. " Failed to obtain a trial serial number from Ntitles server. "

OK. Great. I don't want a trial serial number anyway. But. It won't even connect to give me the " Start trial or Buy " options. Just the "Failed to..." message and the program closes.

I tried running as admin, and in XP compatible mode. I also disabled my security thinking maybe that was blocking it. Nope.

I hope that this makes sense, and I really hope someone can help me out with this.

Duh!!! You have to be connected to the internet before opening RMXP so that it can obtain the trial serial number in the nTitles server.... It happened once to me..

I am. I even made sure by being online here when opening it.

Here are some couple things that you need to do:

- Make sure you have an active internet connection when you run RMXP

- Disable any firewalls before you start RMXP up.

- If you're using Vista, make sure User Account Control is DISABLED. It requires you to give a program permission to connect to the internet, and usually takes it's time to pop up

- If all else fails, contact nTitles about the error.
