RMVX to RMXP World Map +edits NEW CONTENT 4/11

It's a WIP. I created the land itself. It doesn't look bad at all mapped out on RMXP though it takes a long time with all of the edges since there is no autotile for that. I would rather have more realistic continents anyway instead of blocks. Feel free to edit this some more; I caution that some of the snow might be true white and would end up being transparent if white was your trans-color. I just haven't gotten around to that yet. I just enditted some castle tops and towns for right now while giving the general map set which i haven't seen posted yet. Enjoy


Here's a screen of an auto tile that I made and put to use in a little continent. I wasn't planning on doing this so soon but since it was recommended, I figured I'd give the mountains from VX a shot. I'm still trying to get the kinks out of the mountains so I won't be posting the autotile yet. But it will basically look like the mountains in this pic and I am pleased with the result I got after hours of work to perfect it. Hope you enjoy the preview.

It didn't load properly, even though I gave it a bunch of time. And it's not a matter of 'if you don't use imageshack I won't critique' rather than 'if you don't use imageshack or photobucket, I have nothing to critique'.

As for the map itself, it looks good. You might want a little bit more in the way of mountains and such. I mean at the moment, the only map yopu can create is land and houses. Add more stuff to allow for more creativity.

Well basically the mountains would be very hard to do from scratch but I will try to modify the VX ones to make them rounded off and not blocky...you know the diagonal form. I can't stand that and I think it looks disgusting. But yeah...this is basically just a WIP and I just wanted a bit of input to see if it was worth my time.

The tileset is by far not done. There is a lot of cruddy crap that are near the items like the logs that I am yet to remove. Also let me remind again that the snow might show up transparent for I haven't tested the new set with my RMXP. But I'm still working on it.
