[RMVX] Sound Effect Issue

I recently downloaded and installed the new RMVX, and I'm having issues with it.

I've installed the main program along with the SE, ME etc... files.

But I'm having an issue, the BGM is able to play, but ME and SE do not play at all when clicked, no matter the volume or pitch.

There is no error message at all.

I can not give you any more information, for that's all there is too it.

Is there some sort of errors topic that I can be pointed too?
[A thought occurs, is it, perhaps, because my Vista cannot play .ogg?]

It's probably a lack of codecs. Whenever I buy a new computer, or install an operating system, I generally have to reinstall my favorite codecs to get everything working again. My personal favorite is the Combined Community Codec Project (CCCP).

Did you shut down your computer or restart it before trying to play the sounds? I usually have to do that before they work. Also, when you installed the codecs, did you make sure you intall ogg vorbis codecs? THat's the ones you need.
