I must say this is shaping up nicely for one of the first few VX games out there. Yes... I can't wait for the 3d revamp of 4 on the DS! Good luck with this.

Every screen I see this game gets better and better.

The story and everything else is decent, but the screens are fantastic.


Also, Final Fantasy 4 = 2nd worst Final Fantasy, but still a great game.  They need to make a 3D shift of Final Fantasy 6.  I would probably pass out and go into a coma if that happened.

Unfortunately, this was the point the battle system froze up.  I'm hoping it was just Windows Update mucking around with the program, but I'm still gonna have my friend beta it later tonight to make sure.

EDIT: Nevermind; it was because I made a stupid mistake.

The more I plan out this game, the more it turns into a not-at-all-serious-but-still-kinda-cool type game.  Hopefully it doesn't end up looking too... forced?  O.o;

Atemu, it looks a tad forced, but you always have to muck around with the program until you get the hang of it, and before you can r4eally start to polish things.  I like the way you're diving head-first into VX.  It's not looking too bad right now, and the more you get used to the program, the better the game will get, I'm sure it will look better as you progress more with making it.

And the optical illusion that cray bitched about caught my eye as well. But, I just scratched my head a bit, then realized there was an alley back there. The 'squareness' of those tilesets can mess with your mind!
Better to keep my mouth shut & let them think I'm an idiot, than to open it & prove it!

No, I don't have a translated version.  I just translated the "Miss" "Dodge" "MP Recover" text.

I'm using the same script, actually...how did you go about translating those?  I assume they're strings somewhere in the script itself, but I can't seem to locate them.

The main ones are in the "Control" part of the script.  Replace lines 47-52 with this:
