The Hideously Epic masterpiece returns, by the good graces of the only one who can.

If there's anything making games has taught me, its that originality and creativity gets you good response, which I thought surprising where basically everyone is ripping each other off, this game was created as a Testament to what originality can produce, its not a game for everyone, but it was a very special moment of my life when i first released this on VX.net years ago, I had established myself creatively, and the thread has 10 pages worth of feedback, praise and reviews.

It was a success... releasing it in it's first demo on 3/14 was one of the biggest changes to my life. Since then, it has grown massive.

On post-humanity earth, the mammals of the world have grown Intellect, and the future seemed bright. But it doesn't take a fool to know peace never lasts forever. The reason the humans fled is revealed, a deadly gaseous mouth of mysterious cold evil, one they would call "Maw". Imprisoned by the successors of Humanity, Maw would only need a bit of patience to escape yet again.

It now falls onto the paws of the most unlikely fellows imaginable, to destroy Maw, and restore peace to Mammal Earth. And likewise, protect the rest of the Universe.

Rolly Fatdog
Species: Beagle
Age: 4 human years
IQ: 126
Origin: New Jersey
Gender: Male
Weapon Proficiencies: Fisticuffs, Shuriken.
BCYc9t3.png

Rolly is a rather dim-witted level-headed Green Beagle whose favorite food is Radioactive Truffles, which can be blamed for his lime green fur, below average Intelligence and an often ridiculous amount of strength. He stands out as the level headed figure of the group, he stays out of fights between Pep and Tristy because he has been scared by Tristy before. He seems to have an undying loyalty to his friends, and will defend them or stick up for them if they seem incapable of doing so. He enjoys a limited spectrum of Interests, brawling, eating, sleeping and cooking. He's a pooch of simple tastes.

Pep Cookiedoe
Species: Tabby
Age: 3 human years (9th Life)
IQ: 145
Origin: London
Gender: Male
Weapon Proficiencies: Rifles, Bombs.
GCjVEvH.png

Pep is the unpredictable mood-swingy mildly insane member of the group, a lot of his actions seem to not have any relativity to the current crisis, sometimes though it turns out whatever weird thing he was doing was actually incredibly relevant in some unseen way! There's no method to his madness, only madness to his methods. Pep seems nulled of personal morals or rules, he doesn't speak much of his past but from what he has revealed, it seems he was an infamous renegade or thief of some kind, which possibly explains why he starts with a gun.

His apathy and empathy are often masked by sarcastic tones and its rather rare to see him go out of his way to express emotion, despite his near-insanity he does seem to legitimately care about his friends. He has a psychological addiction to Red Cordial, which is to blame for his red fur, lack of common sense and bad hair day condition.

Oh, do f*** off.

Tristy Heals
Species: Mountain Kangaroo
Age: 5 human years
IQ: 168
Origin: Mallanganee
Gender: Female
Weapon Proficiencies: Boomerangs, Staves.
Rzy1ucV.png

Tristy is an honest happy-go-lucky Kangaroo, when the game's present day is first visited, she had only known Pep and Rolly for 30 days. Her history is a fair bit less cloak and dagger, and she is seen to be a heroine but she never mentions it unless pressed. Her mind is very often in the moment, she doesn't like dwelling on the past and while Pep does a good job of irritating her, she does her best to only reprimand him when it has just happened. More often than not the subject is only broached again because Pep or Rolly decide to bring it up.

Even though she looks perfectly normal and sane on the surface, she does show moments of worry, especially when pressed on her past and it seems now and then that shes hiding something, Rolly has some social IQ and never asks her about the matter. Pep asks with wild abandon, probably because he doesn't fear her angry moments as much as Rolly does. While not possessing some sort of oddball infatuation with a consumable food or liquid, Tristy does seem to enjoy fresh fruit, particularly Blueberries and Grapes.

You were fun. I wish more things I killed had a bit of sass like you.

Limbo Mingo
Species: Skeleto
Age: 314 Human years
IQ: 154
Origin: The Necropolis
Gender: Male
Weapon Proficiencies: Shields, Swords.
KUsg9cS.png

Very excitable and easy-going, Limbo seems to find enjoyment in almost anything. He likes children's parties, they are sort of his thing. In the Necropolis he was the Party President, which is a huge job, but he enjoys preparation as much as the party itself. How he gets roped into helping the crew of red green super bean is related to some controls in the Necropolis. Presumably a BIG RED SHINY BUTTON because when are they ever NOT DANGEROUS IN THE LEAST!? He gets returned to the living world somehow and Rolly invites him to the party under the clause that he may die if he hangs out with them.

Unlike Pep, Rolly and Tristy who are fighting for peace, Limbo is just tagging along to see if he can return to the Necropolis by way of death magic. Soon enough Limbo beings to warm up to the heroes, especially Pep, and often he throws a party for them when celebration is in order.

Net-Ready Trailer (Looks like its laggy but I'm fairly sure that was my recording program and not the game.)

The game is rather large now, and may lag on some lower end systems.

The main story takes about 5-6 hours of a day to complete for an average player.

The game is hideous, but amazing. In the words of my friends Usagi Shinobi: "You've made this game that is just, it's... well it's hideous, but if you used realistic graphics it just, it would feel off! it just... it was! There's no other way I can really describe it, I can't wrap my 'murican brain around it."

Dark and/or creepy undertones may surface to those with an open mind.

Pep and his character are becoming rather popular in some pockets of cyberspace.

Limbo is often labelled as best character, simply because he moonwalks in battle.

Compared to the original Triad, Limbo has a lot less lines in the game even accounting for his late invitation to the party. Primarily, he's an extra. The focus of the Story is on Rolly, Pep and Tristy.

The very first demo release for this game was on 3/14/2011.

I ask for no currency or money when downloading, if it happens some ads appear when you go to download that's a mediafire thing and clicking them will not effect me.

If you notice someone is missing from the credits who should be there, let me know. If I didn't credit them, its because I failed to find source file and thus, the one who made it. It does not mean deceitful credibility is what is taking place here.

That plane scene looks awesome. At 5-6 hours, do you want me to move this to the Completed Games forum? it would stop it falling into obscurity in the projects board as it has done unfortunately.

Oh, yes you can certainly do that. I apologize about how late this post is, I was too busy making a game to think of my older projects.

It's been finished since 2011 sometime, I just kept making expansions. :P

It's already net-ready, dunkass. Check out the download spoipers.

@Amy: U SAYIN' IM FAT?

Also here's a necessary addition, enjoy the read.
The Net-Readying for Nettage or something...

Not a whole lot of thought went into the attached moniker for Intelligence's final VX build, ultimately the game is a testament of hideous epicness, the very essence of Intelligence is a lack of compromise, it doesn't give a shit how it looks or what you perceive it as, it's just there to chase cars and have fun... pure unflinching fun.

Which is also me while working on the project, the credits list is huge because I wanted to just make intelligence with whatever brilliance I could scrounge up. The only (somewhat) not-enjoyable part of developing intelligence is seeking out who exactly made what so the credits can happen! Though when it takes a little effort to sleuth, that can become it's own sort of fun. And especially satisfying when I find the perp who made that perfect character-set.

Intelligence is a fun, unmitigated and raw project, utilizing the essence of absurdity to fuel absolution. It is a shame it won't truly be able to be finished...

--in VX. Actually, I'm looking forward to a few years from now, when I can remake it's glory in something far more awesome.

As for the name, it's a play on being ready for the net but the net not being ready for it.

The net is this unassuming creature who takes absurdity and normality both in stride.

Then this fucker, this god damn monster of a game shows up and makes the net really awkward, in some surfers (surfers of the net) it evokes a truly new meaning on the concept of both horror, and amazement.

To see this hideous abomination strut itself around like you owe it respect and show that it can be an epic without looking like some cohorent arty-tarty masterpiece is for some people... an experience.

You are welcome to thank me and my apeshit craziness for that experience, but now that this spiel is outta the way (awesome as it may be to peruse) I've gotta get to a bit of the itty-gritty politics surrounding this game.

Firstly, there's virtually only two audio files in use that are mine, and one of my members composed a track I used, the rest is from third party things. Such is the uncompromising essence of Intelligence, it's an abomination sewn from custom shit the world over, but in it's own realm it evokes a spark of magnificence of its own.

There are reasons I do not append the option for charity on a game like this, because it may be a violation of fair use (like i said, politics) and also, i'd rather save that for games that really are almost all in house (Perseverance, Mengaerie: Remastered).

That said, this is a lot closer to it's CCC image than it has been previously, since acquiring a dedicated team it's become redundant a lot of the time to use an old planetary art when my artists have already done it better, same with logos. The main feature of this update was being able to see all that I'd done of part three, as well as the updates to the earlier stages of the game and the new facesets. It wasn't an enormous content update, which is why i didn't dub it 1.2

I dubbed it Net-ready... firstly for the reason above, but also because you could say it as 'not ready' if you put on an accent.

I as a developer, am not ready to finish the last 3 and a half acts for this game.

You as a player, are not yet ready to see those acts, either. There are some forces that if one is to bare witness to early, will utterly fray their idea of reality, and their perception on insanity.

Last thing we need is people going and painting their cats red and saying 'shits normal!', (Actually that would probably be totally awesome, especially if we see green beagles with them!) and when those senile old people on the Senate (Senile Penate in one, geddit!? Politics is all a big joke!) look at this abominable world and ask who is responsible, all one can answer with is: They call him the 'Bizarre Monkey'.

They will then look to this simian oddball and ask how the hell he did it, and he will just look at them with a midly insane expression then roar loudly, before going back to his computer as if nothing has happened and acting like he never knew of their existence.

It would be ideal for us to avoid that day, as it is already elegantly stated: "We're net ready for theh kindeh strefe!"

Amen and may the Satan be with you!
~Bizarre Monkey
