[RMVX] Damage and Such

I'm messing around with the database at the moment, and I'm working on spells and such. My question is what's the correlation between damage and spirit "F"? I didn't quite get it in RMXP, I just guessed, and that's what I'm sort of doing now, but I want to know the math behind it.

For example, let's say I made a spell and called it "Ultima". Alright, now I put its base damage @5500. I go, battle test, use it, it only does 1500 on an enemy, who's stats are all @10. Now when I fix the Spirit F and put it way up @200, it does 9999. (It did 1500 when the Spirit F box was @100). Any thoughts?
 
It works exactly like RMXP's Int-F (I think). It's basically a modifier to the spell according to how much Int or Spirit or w/e you have. If you set Spirit-F to 100, it will be 100% affected by your Int. If you set it to 200, it will do damage twice as much as your Int (subtracting MDEF and all that stuff).
 
Yeah I figured as much. Basically all I needed to know, thanks lol. Was just curious because I tested everything and still wasn't putting out the damage that I wanted. I guess a little goes a long way... just messed around with some numbers and such.
