Rmvx bug: set move route

Well, I think I found a problem with it and was wondering if anyone knows how to work around this/fix it. 

Basically, remember how you could make chests/doors/etc move by setting custom move routes?  Well, you can't do that now: when you try to select the graphic you want it to change to, the thing automatically selects the entire sheet instead of the invidivual character you want to pick.  Like below

Instead of allowing me to pick just one of the fire icons, it selected the entire flame sheet. Any idea on how to fix this?
 
This is the way it was handled back in 2K/3, it's not a bug.

After you select the graphic you want, just choose "face right" or whatever to make it turn into the individual graphic you want.
 
Ah, so i'd set it up something like this then?

@>set move route: right
@>wait 2 frames
@>set move route: right
@>wait 2 frames
@>set move route: left
@>wait 2 frames
@>set move rougte: left
^ have that loop.

something like that then?
 
If that's what you're going for. Test it out in the game, it might take some tinkering to get exactly what you need, but once you've figured it out you would be able to apply it to other events as well.
