RM2k3 Help

I guess I should put this here. I don't see a thread for the previous RPG Makers.

I've started using RPG Maker 2003, but I have some problems.

I can't figure out how to make the character run up to the enemy when attacking.

I imported a new battle charset, but I can't figure out how to use it.

I don't use it so i can't give you any help but you wont find help for this maker here because it is illegal, i'd head to gamingW if i where you.

Pylons, I haven't used 2K3 in a long time, so someone will have to back me up on this. I think it has to do with the weapon that's equipped, there's a checkbox somewhere for long-ranged or short-ranged.
