RM OST Guest Arrangements?

Ok so Im not going to beat around the bush, Im working on a VX game (which is in my sig) and Im looking for some inspiration on music tracks so I figured why not do remixes of other peoples work from RM games? At first I thought about it and it sounded like "destined fail" but maybe I am not clearly explaining what I mean by a "remix".

To me a VG remix is more like a arrangement more than a figure of rap beats with the BGM's melody tossed in, something fitting that style, but differant without taking it out of said style. I havent seen many games do it, so I figured why not give it a try.

Im not trying to ask anyone cause that would sound like an advertisement (but if you are intrested PM) but im asking what do you guys think of OST arranges by other composers? I was playing Radiata Stories last night and was listening to Noriyuki Iwadare's version of Motoi Sakuraba's "Mission to the Deep Space", which is great no matter how you slice it, and obviously the huge array of VG arrangements in SSBB.

So, good idea or bad? Perks? Flaws? Imo, I think it would be a great thing to do. It gets composers in the community out of their shells and lets them hear and learn great music from each other, unless you just dont like collaborating with other people.

Ive done this once before but it never got off the ground (not the idea, the process- my friend had the trial of Finale and was too lazy to buy it so he bailed) but it seems like there are an array of fine musicians here so lets break the ice and see what happens.
