Synopsis
Has everybody gone mad? Plants that attack you, hornets that won't stop stinging, and everyone is running around trying to find a missing heirloom. Because in the world of Rionon, a priceless relic has been stolen by a mysterious cult. But everywhere you turn, things just don't add up... This cult is supposed to be evil, but seem to be the only people making sense. Whereas the nation tells you that the cult must be eliminated, at the same time there is a bounty all over Rionon to bring Cult members to the Arena in the capital city of Urusalim as prisoners, forced to fight lions and wolves for the spectator's amusement. All the while the entire nation is begging you to rescue this piece of rock. Meanwhile, an old woman comes to you, crying; her husband has gone missing, and she needs your help to locate him. Is he searching for the Statue too? Has he run off, tired of it all, or is something sinister at work here? So, Joshua, what's it going to be? Help a nation recover their long lost treasure, or assist this poor old lady in locating her husband? Under the city of Laodicea lies a dark secret. None of the factory workers have been seen or heard from in months. Can you solve where THEY'VE all gone to? Will you seek justice for a slave, not by slashing his master to pieces, but by exposing his crimes for all the world to see? Are you willing to become the most unpopular man in the country to do what's right? When the whole world calls you to defend your way of life will you be the only person brave enough to say no? Inspired by the Biblical book of Acts, Rionon: The Search for the Stone Statue challenges you to learn that there is a season for everything, from fighting evil with the sword, to fighting it through honesty and suffering. The hope for this game is that it will give God glory, while simultaneously assisting churches with their Bible study and Sunday School teaching as we continue to move from a paper age and traditional classroom learning to learning through interaction and entertainment.

Characters
Joshua
The hero of our adventure. A young man who lives in the town of Corinth, on the edge of the Southern Desert. Intelligent and curious, but as weak as a squirrel when he starts out. Can he use his wits (and keep them?!) as he travels farther than he ever has and to places he'd never dream of going in order to solve the mysteries of Rionon? When faced with the tough choices will he do what is popular, or what is right? The challenge in Rionon is to help Joshua grow, not always through the strength of the sword, but through the strength of character. Are you the hero to guide him? Use all the resources at your disposal, your Bible, cameras, winter survival gear, and yes, sometimes the blade or bow to locate the Statue. But once found, what should you do next?
Janice
An old woman from one of the capital city, Urusalim's poor neighborhoods. Her husband Stephen has been missing for a week, and she desperately needs your help to find him. Will you put down your quest to find the statue in order to locate this man, who nobody seems to care about? What if the rumors you've heard about Stephen are true? Can people with Stephen and Janice's associates even be trusted? Will locating Stephen help you locate the statue? Or are you bound to uncover a mystery that you'd rather just leave alone?
"The Cult"
A group of people rumored to be behind the theft of the Stone Statue. Why would they do such a thing? Why would they bring such anguish on an entire nation? Are they even human? Many questions surround the Cult, rumored to reside in a barbaric village in the harsh Winterlands. Can you infiltrate their hideouts and regain the statue? What's their real purpose? Are they actually evil, or do they deserve to be listened to? Find out as you unravel the twin mysteries of the Stone Statue and Stephen's disappearance.
Phillip
A laid back man from the town of Ephesus. The first time you meet him will likely be at his job, the Bureau of Travel, in that fair logging community. There's something special about Phillip, he always seems to be willing to lend a helping hand, has a good head on his shoulders, and isn't afraid of honesty. If anyone is going to be your friend in this strange, strange world, it's Phillip. When the whole world says zig, he zags. When everyone preaches violence, he preaches compassion. He's worth listening to, if you have the ears to hear.
The Nation of Rionon
A geographically diverse land with a pleasant and fertile central grassland, which provides much of the food for its people. To the south lay the desert town that our hero was born and raised in, the quaint village of Corinth. To the southwest, on the border of the great Lake G'henna
You've heard rumors of the mountain paths to the north, but none have dared enter them to prove them true... What will you find out about the barbaric village said to be hidden somewhere in the rough terrain?
