RGSS Player stop Working

Alright it seems that a number of people have this problem but I have yet to see a solution or anything to either say it won't work or see of it works.The problem is that you can open RPG Maker XP,but can't play the game or test it.It appears that it seems to mostly happen on Windows Vista.Does anyone know how to fix this problem?Please and thank you.

have you tried running it as administrator? thats how I got it to work on my vista machine.
