this is my first time playing xp, i used to play 2k3 alot , what is a script and where can i get one?

A script is a series of Ruby codes and commands formed like sentences to utilize RMXP's features. Scripting with RMXP is very popular and a lot of the scripts' functions are derived from the earlier versions of RPG Maker.

You can find a lot of scripts in SUBMITTED RGSS SCRIPTS section...

(RGSS = Ruby Game Scripting System)

In RMXP, click Tools>Script Editor. There is a list of all the scripts your game is currently using, along with the code for each script. Usually if there is a custom script someone made that you want to put into your game, they give you instructions how to do so. Generally all you do is create a new script above "Main" and paste the code into it.

If a scripter posts a script useful for you, ask copy the script(as text), then while you are in the RMXP editor, press F11(for the Script Editor) then find the tab "Main". Right click on it, then click INSERT. A blank space will appear. On the large space on the left, paste the script. And rename the script via the lowest type box on the right.

(didnt you read the Help file of the program?)

I am closing this since it's pretty much a "LOOK" help topic.

This topic has been resolved. If jpah or any other users have any questions or further problems regarding this topic, please create a new thread about them.

Thank you!
