[Resolved] Syntax error

mmm, ever since I tried to put a certain script in my game, I always get an error the moment I gain controll over the main character. As long as some events are running like set move route, or a textbox, the game runs as normal, but when the cut-scene is over, and you get to move your character, the error pops up.

This is the error I get:
SyntaxError occurred while running script

The music also keeps playing as long as you don't press okay... I have no idea where the error is, so I can't give you a piece of teh script. I have also tried to replace every piece of the script with the original files, but the error keps coming...

You should say what script it is first, and try and move it to above main and below other scripts just in case its higher up.

But I fully deleted the whole script, and now I downloaded tricksters advanced individual commands script, and I copied the whole script from the demo to my game, and I still get the error...

Well you either have an illegal copy of the RPG Maker XP or you haven't transferred all the scripts across correctly, or they are colliding with each other.

Seems like it's caused by a script from the "Call script" event command. Look through those commands and check them. Especially if the commands aren't too long (more then one line). It's a pretty often error cause.

Alright, thx man, I found it, it wasn't a call script event, but some common event that was supposed to be running during a mini-game, but I forgot to put a switch... So I deleted it and everything is fine now

When a syntax errors occur when you open the game, it usually means there is an operator error or you let a quatation, (, or something open.

When you play the game an syntax error occurs, its a Call script error, since call scripts are never read until executed.
