Okay, a simple question, if not a somewhat legal one.
I plan on releasing my RPG for free, and I am giving credit everywhere I see it due, but I need some things helped on crediting. I just want to check if I've got this right.
The tilesets I'm using are the ones from RPG Maker XP, so I'm crediting "Enterbrain" for those.
The sound effects and animations are from XP, so they're "Enterbrain" too.
The sprites are all made by me from these templates labeled "by enterbrain, edited by Mack (template)":

So they're credited to "Onyyx, based on themplates by Mack and Enterbrain".
The art, story, characters, all designed by me. Easy.
Here we go: Music. Rather than create my own MIDIs, all of them have been downloaded from VGMusic. I'm sure many of you have heard of this site. It's THE place for downloading video game MIDIs. However, I've not been keeping a note of the individual sequencer of each MIDI, and now I'm not even sure if it's legal for me to use them. I may only be releasing this game for free, but I am in no state for some kind of lawsuit. Do I credit "VGMusic.com"? Do I go back and find each name of every sequencer? Do I not use them at all? If it IS the last one, I'm not sure how I'd get my music apart from the pre-given ones.
I seem to be stuck here, and anyone who knows about this would be so appreciated I could kiss you. Though I don't think I will, if it's all the same to you.
Sorry about the lengthiness of this post, but isn't that always the case with legal matters?
Thanks in advance. Hopefully I got this in the right forum.

Any sort of ripped resource is illegal. However, as your game is not commercial, there shouldn't be a problem releasing it. As for credit, ideally you should credit every individual sequencer, but if you have a lot it shouldn't be a problem to just have "VGMusic" with a note that your midis can be found on that site.
