Hi all,

Is it possible to make a script that, when u your game is in full screen, there is no lose of quality? I mean, your characters are two times so big if u full screen and they dont look nice. Is is it possible to leave it the same size at full screen, so u just see more of the map?
 
No, as there's a problem with the viewports or whatever... for some reason, nobody was able to expand the screensize (resolution is something different, what you're talking about is the actual size) above 640x480... either way, there's no loss in quality in fullscreen mode, the sprites just get scaled up.

Actually it's not true. The game I'm making runs in 800x600 but I did it at the cost of getting rid of the tilemap class.. As for the problem discussed here - yeah, it would be bloody hard to mess with the resolution within the game. I think it would be possible, but the effort wouldn't probably be worth the effect. Also, I don't think that sprites in fullscreen don't look nice : )

If you have a monitor with fixed resolution that is not 640x480 you could run to the problem of losing quality.
Maybe you have a video card option where it does not stretch games running in smaller resolution, but you center the image instead.
I remember I had that options on my old laptop.
